Will definitely return! 550 reached out and is sending me a gc. I will be reviewing this restaurant again after. THANK YOU ALICIA I went there for the first time. I got take out. I ordered the prime rib. It was very tough and fatty and the rice was very bland. I was so disappointed. I mean for $29. I expected something I could chew. ”

“ Their chicken w 550 sauce was delicious. I couldn't believe how perfect this sauce was. The salad was good and I didn't see any bad-looking ettuce, like I have w most restaurants. So, their salad was fresh. The only thing I didn't like were the wooden chairs. I need a padded chair and now that's just a personal preference, especially for old persons. The waitress was nice! I was happy I treated my mom there. This is one of the few places I would go back to, except for the chairs. ”

“ We've always have heard good things about The 550 Tavern in Halifax and we finally got to see for ourselves. We went in last week for breakfast. They have a wide variety of choices on their menu. My husband wanted a light breakfast so he had scrambled eggs, home fries and toast. I've never tried Southern Style Biscuits and Gravy so that's what I had with two eggs easy over and home fries. Wow, was that fantastic! It wasn't just plain old gravy but it had tons of sausage in the gravy. Everything was cooked to perfection and was served hot right from the kitchen. The portions were so large that we both brought some home and finished it for lunch. The waitress was very attentive and the service was excellent, always checking in with us to see if we needed anything. The restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms. We will definitely go back again for either lunch or dinner. ”

“ Actually 10's we started off with our waiter Carl! Very nice, checked on our food and our drinks when he saw the mugs getting low! We only stopped in for a first time quick bite but definitely on the top of our list now. My wife had a cup of Broccoli soup was by any other restaurant bowl size and it was excellent, I had Nachos with spicy beef, best Nachos I've ever had, two different cheese used and the toppings were very fresh, the plate was huge and piled high, you could share but might want them all too yourself. The bathroom: first handicapped automatic doors inside and outside, first restaurant I've been to that had these, I'm handicapped makes a big difference! Very clean and well kept, checked often you could tell., The staff: very nice to all the customers, wiping down the menus and tables, very clean If people read this being on vacation like Plymouth etc., definitely worth the ride, menu looked great, can't wait to go back, great specials and breakfast too! ”

“ Good first experience! My husband and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night to check the place out after hearing good things... I ordered the tavern burger, medium-rare along with a pumpkin pie martini (tis the season). My burger was actually cooked to medium-rare (yay!). Fries were the "fast food" kind that are thin & crispy on the outside, hot & soft on the inside - I couldn't stop eating them. And that martini!! Definitely tasted like pumpkin pie in a glass. It was autumn heaven! My husband got the buffalo chicken mac & cheese. I tried a bite and thought it was great; buffalo flavor was there, but not overwhelming. We both really enjoyed our meals. I hear this place also does Sunday brunch. We will definitely be back! ”
